General

Q1: How long does it take to complete each course? (Return to Top)

A: Each course varies in length, and the amount of time they take to complete often depends upon an individual’s skill set prior to taking the course. Those students with more experience will complete the courses at a faster pace than a new hire with little or no experience. As a general rule, each module is approximately 15 minutes in length, so a 9-module course with a final assessment is typically 2-1/2 hours in length.

Q2: Can I view my course progress without accessing each course? (Return to Top)

A: Once successfully logging in to the AcSELLeration Series™ portal, individuals can either access a course or view his/her progress. The progress page contains information such as Assessment Scores, Completion Status, and Access Expiration Date.

A: If a user forgets his/her username or password, he/she should ask their manager to reset their password for them, so they can log in using the word "password."

Q3: Can I share or give my login information to someone else? (Return to Top)

A: Each registration login is treated as an individual record and if it is given to someone else, progress accuracy may be compromised. It is not advisable to share or give this information to anyone other than the original registrant.

Assessments

Q1: What is a pre-assessment and am I required to complete it? (Return to Top)

A: A pre-assessment is an optional test offered upon initial entry into a course. If a student chooses to take the pre-assessment, they may be able to “test-out” of individual module assessments based on how well they perform. This would enable a user to skip certain sections of a course that his/she may already have competency in. Students will still have access to any modules that he/she “tests-out” of, but they are no longer required.

Q2: The first time I accessed the course I was able to take a pre-assessment; why can’t I get to it again? (Return to Top)

A: Pre-assessments are only offered upon initial entry into a new course to determine a user's competency level. A warning message displays prior to beginning a pre-assessment that only one opportunity is available and this opportunity cannot be reset.

Q3: I took the module assessment, but it doesn’t show in the Table of Contents. Why not? (Return to Top)

A: Students must pass each module assessment with a score of 100% before it is considered complete. If an assessment is taken but not passed, it will remain unchecked in the Table of Contents.

Q4: Why can’t I access the final assessment? (Return to Top)

A: Final assessments are only accessible once a student has scored 100% in each of the individual module assessments. At that time, an e-mail message is sent to the student’s manager or supervisor instructing him/her to grant access to the final assessment.

Q5: How will I know if my manager/supervisor has granted my access to the final assessment? (Return to Top)

A: Once the manager/supervisor grants access to the final assessments, an e-mail message is generated and sent to the student informing him/her that they can access the assessment.

Q6: What score do I need to pass the final assessment? (Return to Top)

A: The current score necessary to pass a Final assessment is 70%. The Module assessment score requirement is 100%.

Q7: How many final quiz attempts do I have? (Return to Top)

A: Each student is given two attempts to successfully pass a final assessment with a score of 70% or higher. If a student fails both attempts, his/her manager or supervisor can reset both attempts, but all of the individual module assessments default back to 0 and the student must complete the entire course again before being granted additional attempts.

Q8: Where do I find my course progress? (Return to Top)

A: Once successfully logging in to the portal, individuals can either choose to access a course, or view his/her progress. The progress page contains information such as Assessment Scores, Completion Status, and Access Expiration Date.
